Dartford U16's win Tina Marshall Cup

U16s Tina Marshall Cup Final ~  Petts Wood 0 - 1 Dartford Fc

It was great to make a cup final after a very difficult season for various reasons.

The match it self was a very tight affair with both sides missing chances and both defence holding firm. Petts Wood beat us in the Kent cup which went into extra time so it was nice to get revenge and beat them in this cup.

Joe has a great team of girls and they never gave up.

Half time 0 - 0  and the teams could still not be separated.

Onto the second half which was much the same as the first, both teams holding each other, it was going to take some thing special to win the game and it did, with a 25 yard free kick from Dartford's Lizzie Waldie who curled the ball over the wall and into the top corner giving the Petts Wood keeper no chance what so ever.

Ten minutes left to play and finger nails were being chewed.

Dartford held on and won the game.

Thanks to Joe and his girls for a really good game of football

Thanks also to all the committee at the KGLFL for another season of football for girls.
