On 21st February, Crystal Palace invited Larkfield U10's to play their U10's in a Kent v Surrey meeting and then to be mascots for the Ladies County Cup match in the afternoon.
Larkfield were made very welcome by Linda and her team which was a mix of 2 unbeaten teams Palace Red and Blue & 5 x 10 mins 'halves' were played on the new 3G style 'carpet' which made for an extremely fast game.
It was a real close battle and the most competative match both teams had encountered in the season - resulting in a spectical for the crowd.
Great atmosphere , great skills , goals , goal attempts , no fouls and smiles all round from some exhausted girls.
A return fixture on the slower grass will take place soon as a new friendship has been formed.
The girls then got to be in the Team Talk for the Ladies in the changing room and lead them out to play their County Cup tie which they ended up winning 12-0 against Milford Ladies - 'Lucky Charms'
A really great experience of a day all round and one for the Memory Bank of Girls Football for these U10's.
